Petron in­tro­duces new pre­paid fleet card

PETRON Malaysia pre­sents a new pre­paid fleet card aimed at small and medium en­ter­prises (SMEs). It aims to help these com­pa­nies man­age their monthly fuel ex­penses.

The pre-loaded fuel card is said to al­low cor­po­rate cus­tomers ef­fi­ciently man­age their fleet of ve­hi­cles’ fuel con­sump­tion and ex­penses, while pro­vid­ing great re­wards and sup­port ser­vices.

Called the Petron Pre­paid Fleet Card – this new easy to use card is equipped with the lat­est mi­crochip tech­nol­ogy that pre­vents trans­ac­tion tam­per­ing, unau­tho­rised card du­pli­ca­tion and ac­ci­den­tal data dele­tion. It also of­fers a real-time track­ing func­tion that al­lows cus­tomers to con­trol and mon­i­tor con­sump­tion and ex­penses. With this card, fuel set­tings and credit lim­its can be set, and ac­cess of ac­count de­tails and in­for­ma­tion on us­age can be down­loaded or printed – al­low­ing bet­ter mon­i­tor­ing.

Said Petron Malaysia head of re­tail Fari­dah Ali, “The in­tro­duc­tion of the Petron Pre­paid Fleet Card is to pro­vide cus­tomers con­ve­nience. Our mis­sion is to help our cus­tomers man­age their fleet bet­ter by en­abling a cash­less pay­ment sys­tem.” Be­sides the ben­e­fits of cash­less pay­ment, card hold­ers can also earn Petron Miles points when they fuel up, re­ceiv­ing one point for ev­ery ring­git spent on fuel.

The pre­paid card can be used at the fuel pump out­doors or at the in­door pay­ment coun­ters through­out the 550 Petron ser­vice sta­tions na­tion­wide. Reload is easy – by mak­ing a cash de­posit, cheque pay­ment or via In­ter­bank Giro on­line trans­fer.

To ac­quire a Petron Pre­paid Fleet Card, one only needs to fill up a form, which is avail­able at any Petron ser­vice sta­tion, then sub­mit it with one’s com­pany busi­ness reg­is­tra­tion form to Petron Malaysia head­quar­ters. Suc­cess­ful ap­pli­ca­tions should re­ceive their cards within two weeks.
