Sale of NGV fuel suspended
PETALING JAYA: Petronas has indefinitely suspended the sale of natural gas vehicle (NGV) fuel in three states. It said the temporary closure of NGV operations at 67 stations in the Klang Valley, Negri Sembilan and Johor was to accommodate upgrading works.
“Petronas Dagangan Berhad is working closely with the relevant authorities to ensure the highest safety standards at our premises,” it said.
All other fuelling services and its Kedai Mesra stores will operate as usual.
It was not clear if the temporary suspension was related to an explosion of an NGV gas cylinder on Oct 25 at a petrol station in Johor, that killed a kiosk attendant.
Stations with NGV facilities that will be operating are listed on www.mymesra.com.my.
