Shell treats contest winners with trip to Japan
IT paid handsomely to use Shell Advance motorcycle engine oils, especially for two Malaysians who were treated to experiences of a lifetime in Japan.
Mohammad Nizam Md Omar ( back, third left) and Muhamad Iqbal Hibri Azilan ( front, far right) wore smiles as wide as the poles asunder throughout the five-day, four-night, all-expenses paid trip they won to Japan. Both grand prize winners of the 2016 Shell Advance Power On contest, the duo were ecstatic as the trip included the opportunity to catch the Japan MotoGP and fifth round of this season’s Shell Advance Asia Talent Cup (SAATC) motorcycle racing championship at the famous Twin Ring Motegi racetrack.
“It was my first trip to Japan and the highlight was definitely the visit to the racetrack. The special VIP pass arranged for us by Shell allowed us to explore nearly all areas of the track ... It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience,” said Mohammad Nizam who has been using Shell Advance AX5 for his 125cc Honda Future.
For Muhamad Iqbal, who had just switched to using Shell Advance Ultra with PurePlus Technology for his Kawasaki GTR 1400, the experiences were once-in-a-lifetime. “Thanks to Shell we managed to experience the excitement of MotoGP on a new level ....”
Putting the win aside, Iqbal also said he was very happy with his decision to use the said oil. “There is a real difference ... My bike engine is now super quiet, more powerful and it works out to be more economical,” he said.
Consolation prize winners of the 2016 Shell Power On contest were rewarded with Givi merchandise consisting of 10 Monolock boxes, 20 units of full-face helmets, 30 units of rainsuits and 50 backpacks. Ten workshop owners also got to enjoy the “trip of a lifetime”. Visit shell. com.my/advance for more.
