Shar­ing eco-biz dreams

UNI­VER­SITY stu­dents from 20 lead­ing uni­ver­si­ties in the coun­try were chal­lenged by Al­liance Bank Malaysia Ber­had re­cently to sub­mit a prac­ti­cal busi­ness propo­si­tion that will help ad­dress en­vi­ron­men­tal con­cerns.

The three-month chal­lenge, aptly named the “Al­liance Bank Eco-Biz Dream Project”, is open to all Foun­da­tion, Di­ploma, A-lev­els and un­der­grad­u­ates of se­lected uni­ver­si­ties.

Joel Korn­re­ich, Group CEO of Al­liance Bank said, “We can­not af­ford to be com­pla­cent about our en­vi­ron­ment any­more. In­stead, there should be an ur­gency to cre­ate sus­tain­able so­lu­tions that can help ad­dress en­vi­ron­men­tal con­cerns.

“The Eco-Biz Dream Project is one such ini­tia­tive by the bank to tap into to­day’s youth’s cre­ativ­ity and can-do at­ti­tudes. We are also avail­ing De­sign Think­ing coach­ing in the hopes that the so­lu­tions proposed will be prac­ti­cal and sus­tain­able.”
