RM890,000 CONTRABAND CIGARETTES SEIZED

TAWAU: Police have detained a man and seized 120 boxes of contraband cigarettes worth RM894,722, including unpaid tax, in Kampung Sungai Buaya, 3rd Mile Jalan Apas here on Sunday. Tawau police chief ACP Fadil Marsus said police detained the man, who was transporting boxes containing the cigarettes, believed to have been smuggled from a neighbouring country. – Bernama
