Consulate-general in Xi’an
KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia has established a consulate-general in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province in China.
In a statement yesterday, the Foreign Ministry said it was the sixth Malaysian consulate-general in that country, with Tan Li Lung appointed as consul-general, covering the consular districts of Gansu Province and Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.
“Tan’s broad experience will enhance people-to-people contact as well as encourage exchanges in business and investment opportunities between the two countries.”
The office is located at the Shangri-La Hotel in Keji Road, and will be open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. – Bernama
