FLASH FLOODS HIT TAMAN NEGRI BARU
PORT DICKSON: Flash floods left 12 houses in 0.17m of water at Taman Negri Baru, here, early yesterday. A Port Dickson Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said a downpour on Wednesday night caused drains to overflow. He said the situation was under control and advised residents not to venture to areas near swollen drains. The Malaysian Meteorological Department yesterday warned of an east northeasterly winds of between 40 and 50kmph and waves as high as 3.5m in the waters off Sarawak, the Federal Territory of Labuan and several places off Sabah until Saturday.
