Ouija: Origin of Evil

The spirits become angry that someone wants to take Doris away from them, and so begins an epic battle between good and evil.

This film got some rave reviews from previous screenings in the US. A few even found it to be an absolute shocker. But I find the plot to be tame and predictable.

The familiar old formula is being used to create fear – a child being possessed by an evil spirit, and a frightened priest. I can almost predict what the next scene will be.

Hollywood really needs to put its thinking cap on and find fresher plots, and better twists to its stories.

The only good thing from Ouija: Origin of Evil is that the actors churn out some convincing performances.
