FOR­EIGN MIN­IS­TERS DIS­CUSS KID­NAP­PINGS

PU­TRA­JAYA: The for­eign min­is­ters of Malaysia and In­done­sia held dis­cus­sions on Mon­day on is­sues of com­mon in­ter­est, in­clud­ing the kid­nap­ping of two In­done­sians off Sabah on Nov 5. Datuk Seri Ani­fah Aman and his In­done­sian coun­ter­part Retno Mar­sudi dis­cussed the frame­work of the Tri­lat­eral Co­op­er­a­tive Ar­range­ment on im­me­di­ate mea­sures to ad­dress mar­itime se­cu­rity is­sues. They also agreed to work with Philip­pine author­i­ties to lo­cate and se­cure the re­lease of the kid­nap vic­tims. – Ber­nama
