MACC OF­FI­CER SACKED OVER DRUG CON­VIC­TION

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian An­tiCor­rup­tion Com­mis­sion (MACC) has sacked one of its of­fi­cers, Muham­mad Nazrin Ab­dul­lah, ef­fec­tive Nov 1 for be­ing in­volved in drugs. The com­mis­sion said its dis­ci­plinary board made the decision af­ter Muham­mad Nazrin was found guilty by a court in Septem­ber. “MACC takes a se­ri­ous view of this case and can­not com­pro­mise on its of­fi­cers vi­o­lat­ing the or­gan­i­sa­tion’s rules.” – Ber­nama
