SHAH ALAM: Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali yesterday launched four mobile libraries which will be deployed to the state’s low-cost housing areas to bring the joy of reading to them.

Azmin said the four vans, named Mobile Selangor BEST (Bring Excellence Into Society), will cater to the 1,346 low-cost flats in the state involving 1.1 million residents.

This, he added, is in line with Selangor’s efforts towards achieving the “Smart State” status and for the state government to be more responsive to modern demands and the needs of the people.

“It is hoped that this will create knowledgeable low-cost flat communities and set the foundation for a responsible, clean, happy, and harmonious culture.”
