Volatile trad­ing ahead

BURSA Malaysia is ex­pected to see volatile trad­ing this week due to weak ex­ter­nal de­vel­op­ments on the back of an im­mi­nent in­ter­est rate in­crease by the US Fed­eral Re­serve against a back­drop of un­cer­tain­ties over poli­cies un­der a Don­ald Trump pres­i­dency.

Af­fin Hwang In­vest­ment Bank vice-pres­i­dent/head of re­tail re­search Datuk Dr Nazri Khan Adam Khan said most in­vestors will adopt a wait-and-see ap­proach, watch­ing out for Trump’s next move on poli­cies to­wards emerg­ing economies.

“The FBM KLCI is ex­pected to trade be­tween 1,600 and 1,640 points (this week),” he added. – Ber­nama
