PENAMPANG: Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) wants to be allocated six out of the 13 newly created state seats in the coming 14th general election. Its deputy president Datuk Seri Maximus Ongkili said the party’s request was made based on the location of the seats, with some being PBS strongholds. He said among the six new seats requested were Mengaris, Telupid, Langkon and Limbahau, which were traditionally PBS-serviced areas. “We could go for mixed seats because we have Muslim and Chinese (members). We can also go for purely Kadazan seats as 40% of PBS members are non-Muslim bumiputra.” – Bernama
