FOUR TO BE CHARGED WITH HOARD­ING COOK­ING OIL

SHAH ALAM: Four more traders are set to be charged with hoard­ing sub­sidised cook­ing oil this week, said Do­mes­tic Trade, Co­op­er­a­tives and Con­sumerism Min­istry sec­re­tary­gen­eral Datuk Seri Jamil Salleh. He said this was in ad­di­tion to the eight who have been charged since the an­nounce­ment by the govern­ment in Oc­to­ber that bot­tled cook­ing oil sub­si­dies would be re­moved ef­fec­tive this month. “To date, we have made 44 ar­rests since the an­nounce­ment was made, eight of which have been charged in court. Four more are set to be charged this week,” he told reporters af­ter of­fi­ci­at­ing the MyData SSM Por­tal yes­ter­day.
