FOUR TO BE CHARGED WITH HOARDING COOKING OIL
SHAH ALAM: Four more traders are set to be charged with hoarding subsidised cooking oil this week, said Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry secretarygeneral Datuk Seri Jamil Salleh. He said this was in addition to the eight who have been charged since the announcement by the government in October that bottled cooking oil subsidies would be removed effective this month. “To date, we have made 44 arrests since the announcement was made, eight of which have been charged in court. Four more are set to be charged this week,” he told reporters after officiating the MyData SSM Portal yesterday.
