IT’S that time of year again when Star­bucks brings back its much-an­tic­i­pated hol­i­day bev­er­ages for a limited time only, along with its spe­cial Hol­i­day Blend cof­fees, new F&B of­fer­ings and an ex­clu­sive and at­trac­tive se­lec­tion of cu­rated mer­chan­dise, ideal for the fes­tive giv­ing.

FAVOURITE TASTES AND EX­PE­RI­ENCES Star­bucks Malaysia and Brunei manag­ing direc­tor Syd­ney Quays says he is hon­oured that Star­bucks is part of its cus­tomers’ yearly hol­i­day tra­di­tions in Malaysia. “I’m de­lighted that the hol­i­day sea­son has ar­rived at our stores again,” adds Quays. “It’s a spe­cial time at Star­bucks with tastes and ex­pe­ri­ences that in­spire our part­ners and cus­tomers.”

Ev­ery year-end Star­bucks’ cus­tomers an­tic­i­pate the ar­rival of sea­sonal bev­er­ages, re­turn­ing favourites and new hand­crafted bev­er­ages to cel­e­brate the best of the sea­son. This year, in ad­di­tion to the re­turn­ing favourites – Pep­per­mint Mocha and Tof­fee Nut Crunch Latte – Star­bucks in­tro­duces its hol­i­day sea­son hand­crafted bev­er­age, the flavour­ful and whim­si­cal Star­bucks Tea­vana Red Rib­bon Green Tea Latte. SPE­CIAL BEANS AND BLENDS The Hol­i­day Blend is also back to the de­light of Star­bucks’ cof­fee fans across more than 60 coun­tries around the globe. For this year, Star­bucks ages rare Su­ma­tra beans for five years to de­velop a cedary, deep and earthy flavour, and com­bines it with ro­bust beans from Asia-Pa­cific and Latin Amer­ica to of­fer a full-bod­ied cof­fee that pairs well with a va­ri­ety of sea­sonal savoury and sweet foods in­clud­ing Star­bucks Hol­i­day Pop­ping Cake.

In Malaysia, cus­tomers can ex­plore an added op­tion along­side Star­bucks Sig­na­ture Espresso Roast – the deeper, darker, hand­crafted Star­bucks Hol­i­day Blend Espresso Roast. Cus­tomers who pre­fer a lighter roast can opt for the Star­bucks Hol­i­day Blend Blonde Roast which of­fers a more sub­tle flavour pro­file. Back ev­ery year-end are Star­bucks Red Hol­i­day Cups to wel­come and sig­nal the ar­rival of the hol­i­day sea­son. Since 1997, Star­bucks has wel­comed the hol­i­day sea­son with the ar­rival of th­ese spe­cial red cups that cel­e­brate the spirit of the sea­son and add mer­ri­ment to the fes­tive time. While ev­ery year de­signs change, this 2016 sees the first for Star­bucks to fea­ture de­signs cre­ated by cus­tomers.

In sup­port of cre­ativ­ity, Star­bucks held a con­test, tak­ing cues from its cus­tomers to use their red hol­i­day cups as a can­vas and shared their de­signs on In­sta­gram. A to­tal of 1,200 in­di­vid­ual sub­mis­sions were re­ceived from par­tic­i­pants from 13 coun­tries, re­sult­ing in 13 cus­tomer-de­signed red hol­i­day cups that will serve more than 25,000 Star­bucks stores across 75 coun­tries. Star­bucks Malaysia fans will be served in six of the 13 de­signs.

This fes­tive sea­son, Star­bucks also presents a wide range of at­trac­tive Star­bucks hol­i­day gifts com­pris­ing ceramic mugs, trav­eller dou­ble wall ceramic mugs, dou­ble wall and vac­uum sealed tum­blers, hol­i­day or­na­ments and fes­tive boy and girl Bearista Bears.
