Penang welcomes its first Wendy’s
WENDY’S recently opened its first outlet in Penang, situated on the first floor of Sunrise Tower in Gurney Drive. The new outlet spans across two floors and provides a seating capacity of 80 diners. Dining in comes with a grand view especially during sunset. Fans of the brand can enjoy delicious offerings daily from 8am to 2am.
“This is a milestone for us as we finally make our mark in Penang and share the Wendy’s experience with all of you. Our philosophy is to always serve freshly cooked food, made to order in line with our famous commitment, quality food made fast,” said Wendy’s Malaysia director Sydney Quays.
Echoing similar excitement was Wendy’s Asia Pacific managing director and vice-president and EMEA John Pain. “At Wendy’s, we pride ourselves on offering high quality food and doing things the right way,” said Pain. Now that the store was up and running, Pain shared that the Wendy’s team in Penang looks forward to providing exceptional service to its guests.
The Penang store is solely run by Penangites who have been trained to Wendy’s standards of providing fresh food where “quality is its recipe”. The setup is inline with Wendy’s intention of providing jobs and experience to the local community. Visit Wendy’s Facebook page for more.
