A younger, smoother neck

THE neck is often overlooked when it comes to bodycare and grooming – but the skin in this area is particularly sensitive.

“The skin on the neck needs extra attention as it is very thin and fragile,” explains Birgit Huber, a voice of the cosmetic industry. “It is more prone to sagging and developing lines and wrin- kles.”

The cosmetics expert therefore advises using special care products, such as moisturisers and creams, at an early stage. This tightens the skin and reduces wrinkles and lines in the neck area.

“I would recommend creams with hydrophilic substances such as hyaluronic acid or firming moisturisers that provide the skin with nourishing elements,” says Huber.

“Massaging the skincare products gently into the skin from the bottom to the top” does even more good, as this strengthens the neck muscles. Huber also advises women to apply masks on a regular basis to compensate for fat and moisture deficiencies. – dpa
