Slab falls on car

PETAL­ING JAYA: A mo­torist es­caped with mi­nor in­juries af­ter a slab of plas­ter fell onto his car in USJ1, Sub­ang, on Tues­day af­ter­noon.

Se­lan­gor Fire and Res­cue De­part­ment as­sis­tant di­rec­tor of op­er­a­tions Mohd Sani Harul said the in­ci­dent oc­curred at about 3.40pm near a hyper­mar­ket.

“The 52-year-old man was in the midst of park­ing his car when a huge chunk of plas­ter sud­denly fell and crashed onto his car.

“He sus­tained mi­nor in­juries and was sent to the Univer­sity Malaya Med­i­cal Cen­tre and re­ceived out­pa­tient treat­ment.”

Ba­lik Pu­lau fish­er­men mak­ing their way to the reg­is­tra­tion counter to get their money from the Fish­eries De­vel­op­ment Au­thor­ity of Malaysia (LKIM) at Ba­lik Pu­lau mar­ket yes­ter­day. A to­tal of RM206,7000 was handed out to fish­er­men as a cost of liv­ing al­lowance.
