GE­ORGE TOWN: Deputy Chief Min­is­ter I Datuk Rashid Has­non told the Pe­nang Leg­is­la­ture sit­ting yes­ter­day that the state had at­tracted some RM54 bil­lion from 2008 to 2016 com­pared to RM29 bil­lion from 2001 to 2007 un­der the then Barisan Na­sional (BN) rule. He said in­vest­ment num­bers could go up and down but the Pakatan gov­ern­ment man­aged to ob­tain more over the years. “We have got­ten dou­ble com­pared to last time,” he said to Datuk Ja­hara Hamid (BN–Teluk Air Tawar) who asked why there was a down­ward trend in in­vest­ments to the state.
