CANADA’S Mackenzie Hughes overcame a triple bogey to shoot a two-under-68 and keep a one-stroke lead after yesterday’s windy third round of the US PGA Tour’s RSM Classic. Hughes took a 7 at the par-4 11th, his only overpar hole in the first 54, to stand on 16-under 196 entering the final round at the par-70 Seaside course at the Sea Island, Georgia, resort. The 25year-old tour rookie from Hamilton, ranked 287th in the world, is playing in only his ninth PGA event. His best result was a share of 13th in last month’s 2016-17 campaign opener, the Safeway Classic. Sharing second on 197 were Taiwan’s Pan Cheng-Tsung, Colombia’s Camilo Villegas and American Billy Horschel with American Chesson Hadley another stroke adrift.
