MOUN­TAIN Dew is of­ten linked with ac­tion sports, en­ter­tain­ment, gam­ing, co-cre­at­ing and the life­style of to­day’s youth. It is also known for its Dew Chal­lenge, last year’s re­ceiv­ing much ac­claim among e-gamers and on­line gam­ing en­thu­si­asts. And the Dew Chal­lenge 2016, was no dis­ap­point­ment! drew a to­tal of 1,120 par­tic­i­pants form­ing 224 teams. Of these, se­lected teams will com­pete at a group-stage level on Dec 9. The top eight teams of this stage will be up against each other at the fi­nals in Kuala Lumpur on Dec 10 and 11. They will com­pete for a higher stake of the RM150,000 prize pool. The game throws in an ex­tra twist, where other play­ers can steal points from each other. Top ten scor­ers from each state will pro­ceed to the fi­nals on Dec 11, vy­ing for the RM50,000 prize money.


“We are big ad­vo­cates of fol­low­ing one’s pas­sion and we highly en­cour­age Malaysians to do so. Hence, we have cre­ated this on­line gam­ing arena and the mo­bile gam­ing ap­pli­ca­tion for fel­low gam­ing en­thu­si­asts as a plat­form (for them) to chan­nel their pas­sion for gam­ing,” said Etika Sdn Bhd vice-pres­i­dent of mar­ket­ing and busi­ness de­vel­op­ment He­malatha Ra­ga­van.
