CAN un­re­solved emo­tions af­fect chronic pain? Ac­cord­ing to psy­chol­o­gist Dr Su­san Ba­bel who spe­cialises in trauma-in­duced de­pres­sion, stud­ies have shown that chronic pain can be caused by stress and emo­tional is­sues. She says, “Phys­i­cal pain func­tions to warn a per­son that there is still emo­tional work to be done.”
