GEORGE TOWN: A security guard claimed trial at the sessions court yesterday to 11 counts of raping the 14-year-old daughter of his girlfriend.

Meazmande Latiff, 38, is accused of committing the offences at an apartment in Jalan Teluk Kumbar between Aug 20 and Nov 12.

He appeared before sessions court judge Roslan Hamid for six counts of rape allegedly committed between Aug 20 and Nov 5.

Meazmande was then brought before sessions court judge Irwan Suainbon where he was slapped with another five charges of raping the girl between Sept 3 and Nov 12.

Both judges did not grant bail for fear of witness tampering, as the accused lives in the same apartment as the victim.

Meazmande was not represented while DPP Nurul Huda Idris appeared for the prosecution.
