IT IS point­less for the coun­try to achieve progress and have a sta­ble econ­omy if its se­cu­rity is com­pro­mised, said Deputy Prime Min­is­ter Datuk Seri Ah­mad Zahid Hamidi, who is also home min­is­ter. He said the min­istry and the var­i­ous agen­cies un­der it, in­clud­ing the po­lice, will not com­pro­mise on the is­sue of se­cu­rity and pub­lic safety. “Each year, the min­istry shows its con­cern about so­cial is­sues, es­pe­cially in se­cu­rity be­cause there is no com­pro­mise on this.” – Ber­nama
