‘MORAIS WASN’T THREAT­ENED’

KUALA LUMPUR: The High Court heard yes­ter­day that an ac­cused in the mur­der trial of DPP Datuk An­thony Kevin Morais did not use any foul lan­guage nor did he threaten Morais dur­ing pro­ceed­ings in a bribery case. But DPP Savin­der Singh, un­der cross-ex­am­i­na­tion, said that Morais did in­form him that Col Dr R. Ku­nasee­garan had used foul lan­guage on Insp Su­mathi who was the in­ves­ti­gat­ing of­fi­cer in the case. Ku­nasee­garan, 53, is ac­cused of abet­ment in Morais’ mur­der.
