Sultan Mizan sparks off dream start
PETALING JAYA: Malaysia’s dream start to the 29th SEA Games came with a golden royal touch as the Sultan of Terengganu galloped to the first triumph of the day in the 80km equestrian race.
Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin led the country to a majestic start on Aug 20 with a double-gold feat in the individual endurance event and the team endurance event. The team gold was won with Mohd Faris Syafiq and Mohammad Fuad Hashim.
Sultan Mizan, who is the first sultan to participate in the SEA Games, credited team effort for Malaysia’s success. He is ranked fourth in the world in this discipline.
