Safety checks at tah­fiz schools

IPOH: The Perak Youth Par­lia­ment and Youth State Assem­bly mem­bers will as­sist tah­fiz schools in the state to per­form fire safety checks.

Its Tech­nol­ogy, In­no­va­tion, Com­mu­ni­ca­tion and Mul­ti­me­dia Com­mit­tee chair­man Muham­mad Naim Al Amin Sa­harudin said the ob­jec­tive was to en­sure the schools would be able to han­dle emer­gen­cies in the event of a fire.

“Our mem­bers will visit the schools through­out the state to as­sist them,” he told re­porters after hand­ing over four fire ex­tin­guish­ers dur­ing a visit to the Maa­had Tah­fiz Al-Qurab As-Syaafi in Kam­pung Baru Pekan Tam­bun on Wednesday. “We will also iden­tify un­reg­is­tered schools.”
