Brutal JB murder suspects from 760 Gang
JOHOR BARU: The main suspects in the Johor Baru petrol station killing are believed to be members of a criminal group known as 760 Gang.
A 22-year-old male suspect, who is said to be from the gang, was brought to the magistrate’s court yesterday for his remand to be extended by seven days until Jan 4.
Sources said he had contacted the main suspect before the incident.
He was arrested with six others in Singapore on Dec 20. The others were not taken to court for an extension of their remand.
Three other suspects are still under remand. Their remand date will expire on Saturday, Jan 2 and Jan 4. Police have nabbed 15 suspects so far.
Three main suspects are still at large, said Johor police chief Datuk Mohd Khalil Kader Mohd.
A video footage of the murder went viral on Dec 17. The victim, known as Tan Aik Chai, also from another gang , died at the petrol station in Taman Pelangi at about 7.30pm.
Driver Tabor suffered injuries to his right leg in the accident yesterday. The damaged lorry after it rammed into the toll plaza yesterday.
