Bru­tal JB mur­der sus­pects from 760 Gang

JOHOR BARU: The main sus­pects in the Johor Baru petrol sta­tion killing are be­lieved to be mem­bers of a crim­i­nal group known as 760 Gang.

A 22-year-old male sus­pect, who is said to be from the gang, was brought to the mag­is­trate’s court yes­ter­day for his re­mand to be ex­tended by seven days un­til Jan 4.

Sources said he had con­tacted the main sus­pect be­fore the in­ci­dent.

He was ar­rested with six oth­ers in Sin­ga­pore on Dec 20. The oth­ers were not taken to court for an ex­ten­sion of their re­mand.

Three other sus­pects are still un­der re­mand. Their re­mand date will ex­pire on Satur­day, Jan 2 and Jan 4. Po­lice have nabbed 15 sus­pects so far.

Three main sus­pects are still at large, said Johor po­lice chief Datuk Mohd Khalil Kader Mohd.

A video footage of the mur­der went vi­ral on Dec 17. The vic­tim, known as Tan Aik Chai, also from another gang , died at the petrol sta­tion in Ta­man Pe­langi at about 7.30pm.

Driver Ta­bor suf­fered in­juries to his right leg in the ac­ci­dent yes­ter­day. The dam­aged lorry af­ter it rammed into the toll plaza yes­ter­day.
