The good thing about derma skincare is that one can see results within a shorter time. I’m particularly happy about the night cream.

which starts at 6am) and then making appearances and emceeing dinner shows in the evening, can be harsh on skin,” says the mother of one.

Earlier this year she noticed, to her horror, that her skin was not quite as firm as it used to be. In fact, she thought it looked like it was starting to sag. “Looking good is part and parcel of my job (apart from the Breakfast Show and emcee events, Gan is also the host of Astro Go Shop) and unfortunately, cameras tend to brutally show up every tiny wrinkle, spot and other imperfections,” she says with a laugh. “I knew I had to do something… and fast. I want and need to see fast results.”

Walking into a pharmacy one day, she chanced upon a Eucerin Skin Test Machine which, the beauty consultant explained, was used to check skin for texture, pores, hyperpigmentation and firmness. These Test Machines are available at selected pharmacies in major cities in the country.

Intrigued, Gan immediately requested to have the test done. Then, based on the results, the beauty consultant advised her as to which products would be suitable for her age and skin type.

“It was then that I remembered I had actually used Eucerin derma skincare in my teens; believe it or not, I had a lot of pimples at that time,” she recalls. “So I thought ’why not?’. After all, derma skincare products are developed by skin experts and recommended by dermatologists.”

Gan walked out of the pharmacy with a huge smile and a complete range of products. “I’m lazy in that sense. Instead of buying different products from different brands, I prefer to buy a complete range from a single brand instead.
