KUALA LUMPUR: Parti Gerakan Rakyat Malaysia (Gerakan) will sup­port poli­cies by Pakatan Hara­pan (PH) that bring ben­e­fits to the peo­ple. Its vi­cepres­i­dent, Datuk Dr Do­minic H.C. Lau, said the party would also play a role to mon­i­tor PH. “Although we mon­i­tor, our ap­proach is dif­fer­ent from other po­lit­i­cal par­ties, where our crit­i­cism will be fol­lowed by mea­sures to solve prob­lems fac­ing the gov­ern­ment,” he told a me­dia con­fer­ence here yes­ter­day. He also an­nounced that Pe­nang Gerakan chair­man Oh Tong Keong would con­test for the post of deputy pres­i­dent in the party elec­tions on Nov 17. – Ber­nama
