Di Mana (where are) young

Time Out Kuala Lumpur - - Tos Ee -

The curators of this exhibition acknowledge the lack of women’s artwork in galleries. As a response, this exhibition – a play on the words ‘Di mana yang (sayang)?’ – showcases over 100 works of art by women – some coming from the gallery’s own permanent collection, some by invitation and the rest through the gallery’s open call. To reduce these works as simply women’s art would be unwise as these works explore a range of different issues, from gender issues to larger socio-political issues.

National Visual Arts Gallery, 2 Jalan Temerloh, off Jalan Tun Razak and Jalan Temerloh, KL (03 4026 7000/www.artgallery.gov.my). Until Jul 31. Daily, 10am-6pm.
