Peking Man

Time Out Kuala Lumpur - - Arts & Culture | To See -

To celebrate 110 years of Chinese drama, klpac will be staging the Chinese play ‘Peking Man’. The play – written by Cao Yu in 1940, who’s often regarded as China’s most important playwright – will be directed by award-winning director Dr Deric Gan, who is best known for his production of ‘ The Dawns Here Are Quiet’. This tragicomedy revolves around the collapse of a prominent old Chinese family and is an exploration of the hypocrisies that exist in Chinese high society at the time.

Pentas 2, klpac, Jalan Strachan, KL (03 4047 9000/klpac.org). Dec 14-15, 8.30pm; Dec 16-17, 3pm, 8pm. Regular, RM88; group of four tickets, RM330.
