Taman Gelora is a tiny park located by the beach where locals go for exercise in the evenings. Find the beach parking lot where there’s a row of stalls. The biggest stall sells really fat and tasty curry puffs. Grab a few for an impromptu picnic at the beach. If you have more space in your stomach, there’s also a nearby market on Sunday evenings.

As you drive out of Berjaya Hills, look out for this coffee shop, famed for its wan ton mee. You can choose to have your noodles in a soup base or tossed in dark soy sauce. Remember to ask for the thick milky coffee – worth a try. You can’t go wrong with good food coupled with fast and friendly service. Breakfast and brunch. Closed on Wednesdays. $
