Bar­rel aged cock­tails are all the rage th­ese days and w xyz bar at Aloft KL serves up a cou­ple of par­tic­u­larly good ones us­ing whiskey blends. But our favourite is the Malacca Moon­shine, a fizzy con­coc­tion of rose spirit, in­fused with pan­dan leaves and aged for 28 days, mixed with re­fresh­ing ginger ale. The musky and sweet re­sult is light as a feather but be warned, th­ese easy-to-sip bub­bles aren’t as in­nocu­ous as they seem.
