The fa­mous Louisiana sand­wich was fi­nally in­tro­duced to KL by the good peo­ple of Acme South, and they’ve done a fine job with it. The baguette – lighter and slightly fluffier than the French baguette – is made in-house and stuffed with bat­tered shrimp, let­tuce and mayo. A sand­wich of peas­ant in­gre­di­ents it may be, but once you watch the golden shrimps tum­ble out of the bread as you take a bite, you’re quickly en­veloped by an odd sense of lux­ury.
