Time Out Malaysia Eating and Drinking Guide - - DRINKING -

The cocktail bar is enjoying a renaissance and Coppersmith is set to shake up the city’s cocktail scene. As you enter, your first impression will be that you’ve just walked into someone with a very impressive home bar. The setting is intimate with warm metal tones, custommade furniture and Tom Dixon lights casting their welcoming glow to ensure you have a fantastic night out in gorgeous surrounds.

Experienced mixologist Rick Joore is passionate about his craft and has created two distinct series of cocktails showcasing the finest ingredients, finesse and knowledge of what a cocktail should be. ‘Welcome to Coppersmith’ comprises six original drinks combining a dash of quirkiness with a lot of innovation. Take ‘From the Smith’s Garden’, for example - a heady concoction of celery and green apple juice, fresh basil, lemon juice, homemade kwai feh syrup, Belvedere vodka, thyme, lime peel and Szechuan foam – and promising to both refresh and surprise. ‘Home Sweet Home’ goes back to basics and takes classic cocktails and gives them a subtle twist to bring them up to speed.

“Our style of drink making is unique. We barrel and age our own cocktails, and take a great deal of care with every step of the cocktail-making process,” said Christian Bauer, Executive Chef & Director of Troika Sky Dining. ‘We wanted to create a space that we would like to hang out in – having amazing cocktails with our friends in a beautiful surrounding,” added Eddie Chew, Director of Troika Sky Dining.

Exquisitely presented, Coppersmith cocktails are the best pre or post-dinner treat right in heart of this vibrant city.
