Time Out Malaysia Kids - - Editor's note -

Welcome to the first issue of Time Out Malaysia Kids, your new quarterly guide to the best things to do in Malaysia with your kids. Inside, you’ll find up-to-date information about the ultimate kid-friendly restaurants, theme parks, hotels, shops, sporting activities, books, films and much more.

For our first issue, we decided to put on our sunglasses and discover what summer activities Malaysia has to offer for families and children. Check out our favourite ‘23 free things to do’ for ideas on how to spend time with your family without spending a sen, and don’t miss our roundup of the country’s best summer camps. Elsewhere, we explore Malaysia’s top familyfriendly hotels, and on page 76 we try our hands at making ice cream with ice, a couple of bags and a lot of shaking!

Speaking of DIY projects, hand the magazine over to the kids: we’ve put together a special section for them called Time In (For Kids) where there are activities and puzzles. They can use their free watercolour pencils to colour in a picture of our mascot Tom and his animal friends.

We hope you enjoy our first issue (and your summer holidays).
