Though relatively new, this arts space boasts of an intriguing roster of performing artists. Presently one of the busiest arts centres in town, DPAC shows theatrical and dance performances in its theatres and studios on an almost weekly basis. The arts centre’s own dance company, DPAC Dance Company, makes regular appearances on stage. (Box office) Mon-Fri, 11am-6pm; Sat-Sun, two hours before the show starts. Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (klpac) Sentul Park, Jalan Strachan, off Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah (formerly Jalan Ipoh), KL (03 4047 9000/www.klpac.org). Deemed the hub of KL’s performing arts scene, klpac moved from its underground location in Plaza Putra to a sprawling lot in Sentul following the tragic flash floods of 2003. Catch musicals, plays, art exhibitions, concerts and dance performances here. klpac also houses The Actors Studio Academy, which runs workshops and seminars for aspiring actors. Lush greenery surrounding the compound, a giant lake and several restaurants on the premises make klpac a fun and restful getaway. (Box office) Daily, 10.30am-6.30pm.
