MUD: Our Story of Kuala Lumpur

Time Out Malaysia Kids - - Culture for Kids -

Panggung Bandaraya, Dataran Merdeka, Jalan Raja, KL (Box office: 03 2602 3335/ www.mudkl.com). This heart-warming musical takes its audience back to the Kuala Lumpur of the 1880s. The energetic story revolves around the lives of Mamat, Meng, Muthiah and the other villagers on their quest to rebuild the city after the flood and the Great Fire that happened in the year 1881. This interactive musical is definitely one for kids and families, especially if you have a fun-loving child who wouldn’t mind being spontaneously pulled on stage by the cast. For KLites, this is one that will make you proud of your city as ‘MUD’ does an excellent job of revealing the story of Kuala Lumpur in a way that tugs at your heartstrings with vibrant musical numbers and cheeky one-liners. Until Dec 31. Twice daily (subject to blackout dates), 3pm & 8.30pm. RM60; (MyKad holders) RM45.
