Kom­plex Kraft Kuala Lumpur, 63 Jalan Con­lay, KL (03 2162 7459/www.kraftan­gan. A must-visit spot for art-lov­ing kids, the Craft Com­plex houses a huge dis­play of lo­cal arts and crafts. Pe­ruse rat­tan bas­kets, pot­tery, in­tri­cately wo­ven songkets and beau­ti­ful batik fab­ric. Cu­ri­ous lil’ ones can have a go at batik paint­ing un­der the watch­ful eyes of Craft Com­plex’s staff. Daily, 9am-6pm.

Cater­pil­lar Stretch­ing Imag­i­na­tion

15-2 & 15-3 Jalan Sri Har­ta­mas 7, KL (03 6206 1364/www.cater­pil­ Cater­pil­lar’s safe, com­fort­ing en­vi­ron­ment makes it the per­fect venue to throw kids and ba­bies’ birth­day par­ties. In ad­di­tion, the cen­tre spe­cialises in move­ment and dance classes for both young and old. Sam­ples of Cater­pil­lar’s classes in­clude the Kids Street Jazz for 6-11 year olds, Teen Street Jam for 11-18 year olds and belly dance classes for adults. Call to make an ap­point­ment.

Young­sters are en­cour­aged to ex­plore their artis­tic side while par­ents are in­structed on how to cre­ate func­tional items. Walk-in cus­tomers are of­fered one and a half hour­long trial classes. Tue-Sun, 10am-6.30pm.
