The sim­ple idea of per­son­al­is­ing a towel be­came an in­ter­est­ing busi­ness propo­si­tion for this mumpreneur. Add gor­geous bright colours and they ba­si­cally sell them­selves. If you see a kid at some pool­side some­where wrapped in a big fluffy towel with their name on it, you can be pretty sure they come from Colour Me Happy. The word­ing and dye­ing of the tow­els are done us­ing the batik tech­nique, which en­tails sten­cilling the word­ing in wax and dip dye­ing it sev­eral times to get a bril­liant colour. It is quite an ar­du­ous process and is still mainly done by hand.
