The first of its kind in Asia, this Nick­elodeon-themed at­trac­tion will be set among the stone hills of Sun­way La­goon and will fea­ture more than ten thrilling rides such as Hippo Val­ley, Mon­soon 360 and Kubarango. Hit char­ac­ters like the Teenage Mu­tant Ninja Tur­tles and Spongebob Squarepants will be fea­tured in themed shops and eater­ies. Also, not for­get­ting Nick­elodeon’s trade­mark slime in­dul­gence, where you’ll prob­a­bly find out what it’s like to be cov­ered in that gooey-look­ing slime.

Movie An­i­ma­tion Park Stu­dios

MAPS is bring­ing the first an­i­ma­tion theme park in Asia to our shores. Set over 20.8 hectares, MAPS aims to en­chant its pa­trons with over 40 at­trac­tions, in­clud­ing 23 rides and shows. It will fea­ture the likes of DreamWorks’s Ad­ven­ture Zone, The Smurfs (Asia’s first Smurfs live an­i­ma­tion at­trac­tion) and the Mega­mind Me­gadrop (Malaysia’s tallest drop tower at 20 storeys high), making this a must visit for theme parks en­thu­si­asts.

20th Cen­tury Fox World @ Re­sorts World Gent­ing

Re­sorts World Gent­ing is one of the premier spots for theme park fa­nat­ics from all across the globe. How­ever, its out­door theme park is in the midst of a ma­jor makeover, with a 20th Cen­tury Fox-in­spired theme park un­der con­struc­tion. With block­busters such as the ‘Ice Age’ se­ries, the ‘Night at the Mu­seum’ tril­ogy and the ‘Planet of the Apes’ fran­chise un­der its belt, ex­pect some of its glitz and glam­our to rub off onto what could be Malaysia’s an­swer to Sin­ga­pore’s Univer­sal Stu­dios.

UBISOFT Theme Park

UBISOFT needs no in­tro­duc­tion if you’re a gamer, cour­tesy of its ex­hil­a­rat­ing ‘As­sas­sin’s Creed’ se­ries. In 2020, UBISOFT will take its fame to new heights with the open­ing of a 10,000 square me­tre in­door theme park right in the heart of Malaysia. So work on your flex­i­bil­ity, stealth, agility and ac­cu­racy as, come 2020, we’ll all be he­roes of our own life-sized game.
