Mickey’s Christmas Carol
Dir Burny Mattinson 1983 (US) Who doesn’t love the iconic Disney troupe that brought cheer to our digital-less childhood? The movie starts off a little grim with the grumpy, moneyobsessed Scrooge refusing to be caught up with holiday’s merriment. His overworked and underpaid employee Mickey asks for a half day off on Christmas but faces a pay cut due to his request. It isn’t until Scrooge encounters the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet To Come that he truly decides to change his ways and embrace the Christmas spirit instead. The breathless pace of a 25-minute movie left us hanging but this will be good for young kids with a shorter attention span.
