Little Kickers Malaysia

Time Out Malaysia Kids - - Indoor fitness and exercises for kids -

One of the most popular sports to take up for children is football no matter which part of the world you come from, and everyone loves kicking a ball around with their friends. Futsal is football’s quicker, indoor alternative. If you’re keen to give your little one an early start in the ‘beautiful game’, Little Kickers is the programme for you.

Created by Christine Stanschus, a mum in London who couldn’t find a football class for her two-year-old son, the classes teach the basics of football and futsal. According to Kalvinder Singh, who brought the programme to Malaysia in 2013, Little Kickers Malaysia has ‘five centres and ten preschools running the programme with almost 300 kids enjoying our sessions each week.’

The classes available are Little Kicks, Junior Kickers, Mighty Kickers and Mega Kickers, and are organised according to age from 18 months to seven years old. The kids learn about sportsmanship, technique, skills and how to play the game. Little Kickers implements the motto ‘Play, not push’ at all times, so youngsters can enjoy the sport, learn and most importantly have fun playing.
