Beginners Hip Hop with Jes Chow

Sometimes dubbed street dance or urban dance, hip hop is a means of movement expression, especially among youth. Let Jes Chow walk your eight- to 15-year-old through the safe and correct technique of breaking, popping, locking and free styling. Beginners are welcome. Chow, who instructs throughout Asia, is also a choreographer and a fitness coach who will have your kids breaking a sweat while break dancing. Jun 6-9, 2-3.30pm. The Dragon Run

The world’s first inflatable martial arts-inspired course is coming to Genting. The Dragon Run incorporates martial arts elements such as taekwondo, Muay Thai, sumo and jeet kune do in its obstacle courses. Open to participants ages 12 and above, the 6K Dragon Run takes place at The Ranch in Resorts World Genting. Following the run, check out the Dragon Village carnival, which is open to the public. ECO Conservation Camp in Pahang

Jazz Dance Workshop with Lex Lakshman

This upbeat workshop for seven- to 15-year-olds is all about unique moves, fancy footwork, big leaps and quick turns. Even so, participants have free rein to interpret and present the steps in their personal style. The kids are likely to take a shine to the charismatic instructor, Lex Lakshman, a seasoned choreographer with vast experience working with musicals and choral productions.
