Cup­cake Dec­o­rat­ing Work­shop

The Ac­tors Stu­dio @ kl­pac, Sen­tul Park, Jalan Stra­chan, off Jalan Sul­tan Azlan Shah, KL (03 4047 9000/www.kl­pac.org). This cup­cake work­shop is suitable for kids ages four to seven years old and will cover the ba­sics of cup­cake dec­o­rat­ing tech­niques. Kids will get a chance to use pro­fes­sional bak­ing equip­ment and have fun with ed­i­ble glit­ter and sprin­kles. At the end of the work­shops, kids are al­lowed to take home six of their cup­cake cre­ations.

EG Chil­dren’s Ed­u­ca­tion Show 2016

If you’re one of the many par­ents cur­rently look­ing for a suitable preschool for your kids, why not drop by the up­com­ing Chil­dren’s Ed­u­ca­tion Show. The or­gan­is­ers have gath­ered var­i­ous pre-schools and ed­u­ca­tion cen­tres un­der one roof for your ease and con­ve­nience. While mum and dad are busy gath­er­ing in­for­ma­tion, kids can par­tic­i­pate in stage ac­tiv­i­ties, games and work­shops. There will also be other kid-re­lated prod­ucts for the fam­ily to pe­ruse – think books, ed­u­ca­tional games and many more. May 28 & 29, 11am-6pm. Free ad­mis­sion.

In­ten­sive Cre­ative Arts Pro­gramme

The one-week pro­gramme is filled with the­atre-based ac­tiv­i­ties and games that will help kids in their self-de­vel­op­ment and cre­ativ­ity. Ac­tiv­i­ties in­clude singing, dance, arts and crafts and drama. The pro­gramme is catered to kids ages three to six years old. First in­take, May 30-Jun 3; Sec­ond in­take, Jun 6-10. 10am-12noon. RM280 (RM50 for reg­is­tra­tion).

The Star Ed­u­ca­tion Fair

Hall 4, KL Con­ven­tion Cen­tre, KL (03 7967 1388). Back for its 29th edi­tion this June, the highly suc­cess­ful The Star Ed­u­ca­tion Fair will see over 100 lo­cal and in­ter­na­tional ed­u­ca­tion in­sti­tu­tions in the KL Con­ven­tion Cen­tre. There will also be talks by in­dus­try lead­ers, ed­u­ca­tion con­sul­tants on hand to dis­cuss with, as well as free per­son­al­ity and ca­reer tests. Bring the older ones here to check out the mul­ti­tude of pos­si­bil­i­ties avail­able for their fu­ture. Jun 11 & 12, 11am-7pm.

Tech Starter Camp

Cre­ative Tech Camp, Plaza Da­mansara, Da­mansara Heights (019 335 4507/ www.cre­ativetech­camp.com). If your kids have ever wanted to learn about cod­ing, this is the camp for them. Kids will get three dif­fer­ent tech ex­pe­ri­ences – learn­ing how to code, mak­ing their own game us­ing Minecraft and im­prov­ing on their de­sign think­ing with the use of elec­tron­ics. Af­ter learn­ing the ba­sics, they will also get the chance to de­velop their own games and work with elec­tron­ics for a more hands-on ex­pe­ri­ence. At the end of the camp, your kids will bring home their own games and elec­tronic pro­jects.

Teen Mul­ti­me­dia Work­shop at Al­liance Française

15 Lorong Gur­ney, KL (03 2694 7880/ www.al­liance­fran­caise.org.my). If the kids love the French lan­guage and fid­dling around with IT, this work­shop is the one for them. Par­tic­i­pants can prac­tise their French while us­ing the lan­guage in the con­text of mul­ti­me­dia and IT work­shops. These work­shops will also help boost kids’ cre­ativ­ity lev­els by train­ing them to think out of the box with ac­tiv­i­ties in­volv­ing an iPad. Thu, May 19, 4-6pm.
