Classes here run the gamut, teach­ing kids how to make ev­ery­thing from chur­ros and mac­arons to great big steaks and del­i­cate sushi. The sched­ule is ever chang­ing and in­cred­i­bly in­ter­est­ing. Classes are very much hands on so even if your kids have never boiled an egg, don’t fear. Grace Home Cakes

Sign your kids up for cook­ing classes at Grace Home Cakes and they’ll be tak­ing home mouth-wa­ter­ing desserts like cheese­cakes, cup­cakes and cook­ies. Be­sides teach­ing the ba­sics of bak­ing, Grace Home also of­fers spe­cial in­struc­tions on dec­o­ra­tive tech­niques such as ic­ing pat­terns. Nathalie’s Gourmet Stu­dio

Young Chefs Academy

Pink Daisy op­er­ates as a bak­ery on a day-to-day ba­sis, but or­gan­ises cook­ing and bak­ing classes once in a blue moon. Lorna Whis­ton Cen­tre

Lorna Whis­ton is a well-re­puted English lan­guage cen­tre that spe­cialises in speech and drama pro­grammes for chil­dren. Classes are con­ducted in small groups of 12 and ar­ranged around the child’s level of English. The hired in­struc­tors have great ex­per­tise in their fields and love kids. Some pro­grammes in­clude English as a for­eign lan­guage, pub­lic speak­ing and the afore­men­tioned speech and drama classes. Par­ents are kept up-to-date on their child’s progress at bian­nual par­ent­teacher meet­ings. Mor­ris Allen

Mor­ris Allen sets it­self apart from other lan­guage cen­tres by adopt­ing an in­ter­ac­tive ap­proach that strength­ens stu­dents’ English skills and boosts their con­fi­dence and mo­ti­va­tion to learn. Teach­ers give stu­dents lots of pos­i­tive feed­back and cre­ate an en­vi­ron­ment where it’s okay to make mis­takes. The cen­tre ac­cepts stu­dents from nurs­ery to SPM level and cour­ses are of­fered on an on­go­ing ba­sis. Your child may reg­is­ter even af­ter the se­mes­ter has be­gun. Reg­u­lar classes aside, the cen­tre also of­fers short, in­ten­sive cour­ses on spe­cific themes to help stu­dents im­prove their ev­ery­day us­age of English.

Aim­ing to pro­mote the French lan­guage and cul­ture around the world, Al­liance Française is a not-for-profit in­ter­na­tional or­gan­i­sa­tion founded in 1884. Its many cour­ses for chil­dren and adults have flex­i­ble sched­ules to suit in­di­vid­ual com­mit­ments.
