Time Out Malaysia Kids - - Learning -

24 Persiaran Ampang, KL (03 4252 8262/Facebook: Flint-Restaurant&-Bar). There are times when parents want to have a nice meal in a restaurant that isn’t totally child-friendly but are willing to accommodate children. Specialising in meaty dishes, Flint also offers a kids’ menu with three items – creamy mushroom macaroni, herb aïoli fish and chips, and tomato chicken meatballs – which all come with juice. There’s a small play area to keep the kids busy while mum and dad enjoy dishes like clams with white wine and basil, charcoal roasted Wagyu beef and mushroom risotto in peace. The wine selection is notable so a glass is a welcome addition and ingredients are sourced locally and thoughtfully, like oysters from the South China Sea. The restaurant opens at 3pm and it’s mostly a dinner crowd, but as we mentioned, sometimes it’s nice to have an ‘adult’ meal with the children. Credit cards accepted. Tue-Sun, 3-11pm.
