Mum and Daddansweranswer all your questions about parenting. They may not always agree but they’re always full of advice. If you have a question for Mum and Dad, send it to kids@timeoutmalaysia.com. Dear Mum & Dad, I’m a stay-at-home mum of two – my son is three years old and my daughter is just about to turn one. I get bored at home all day (and so does my son) so I’m trying to think of ways to get out of the house and keep both children entertained. How can I plan an outing that suits both a three-year-old and a one-year-old? Needing Time Out in Malacca. Mum: You do need to get out and preferably somewhere with other parents who you could meet again. A playground would be good, but an activity centre is better given the heat in our country. Or you could also look out for kid-friendly cafés with play areas and baby chairs. That way, you can rendezvous with friends while the three-year old enjoys the playground and the one-year old

stays by your side. Dad: I’m not great at organising days out, but might I suggest reading more of this esteemed journal and its website timeoutkl.com for many more places and ideas for what to do with your family. If it were up to me, however, I’d simply take the tots into the garden – which is also outdoors – for a little rough and tumble.
