In the blink of an eye, I’m a dad. Those first few weeks left me dazed and confused, but I’m happy and relieved and ready to start this journey of a lifetime.
It’s all fun and games when you meet the that girl who could be ‘The One’ but the lights are dim, the music pulsating, and everything went a bit fuzzy six drinks ago. Then I’m meeting her in broad daylight and things are going well; fast forward two years and we’ve taken the inevitable plunge and before you know it we’re pregnant! Then I panic and try to remember what it was like to not have any pressure or impending life-changing responsibilities.
The nine months seemed to fly past (or move achingly slow depending on what day it is and mood the wife is in), the birth was a blur of emotions and details best not revealed; and then we were three. Just like that.
