In the blink of an eye, I’m a dad. Those first few weeks left me dazed and con­fused, but I’m happy and re­lieved and ready to start this jour­ney of a life­time.

It’s all fun and games when you meet the that girl who could be ‘The One’ but the lights are dim, the mu­sic pul­sat­ing, and ev­ery­thing went a bit fuzzy six drinks ago. Then I’m meet­ing her in broad day­light and things are go­ing well; fast for­ward two years and we’ve taken the in­evitable plunge and be­fore you know it we’re preg­nant! Then I panic and try to re­mem­ber what it was like to not have any pres­sure or im­pend­ing life-chang­ing re­spon­si­bil­i­ties.

The nine months seemed to fly past (or move achingly slow depend­ing on what day it is and mood the wife is in), the birth was a blur of emo­tions and de­tails best not re­vealed; and then we were three. Just like that.
